This was the camp of the Lewis and Clark Expedition near the mouth of the Columbia River during the winter of 1805 1806. Now known as the Fort Clatsop National Memorial, it is on the U. S. National Register of Historic Places. Please note that there is a brief descriptive text about the difficulties of life experienced by
